Just ordered a few things from Dick Blick and am excited to get them. One is a Sennelier 12 color half pan set. I'm hoping for a bit more saturation than I got with the Windsor & Newton travel pan set. We shall see. I also ordered a square format Arches block of watercolor paper and another 9 x 12 block. Oh yes...I saw a Daniel Smith liquid masking fluid image on someone's blog (I cannot remember whose, now; I am so sorry)...Blick did not carry it but I did find one that looked similar and ordered it. It is in a pen format so I am excited to have it. I'm hoping for more control than I get from using a brush to lay it down. The brush gets gummed up and though I pull the gunk off, it doesn't get me the control I sometimes want. I'll see how this does.
Michael still hasn't been notified of a start date. I hope they haven't changed their minds. He doesn't want to call them again as he's afraid they will think he is pestering them. If they haven't changed their minds, I'm guessing they may stall him until after the 1st of the year. Sigh...He does have a side gig today for somebody he used to work for years ago.
I'm so happy that so many are liking my give away. Maybe not as many as other bloggers get when they do a giveaway but enough so that it makes me happy. Please know that this is not second hand and is brand new. I just want somebody to have it that will make use of it. I will write names of all commenters on slip of paper and my husband will draw the name from a bowl. I can't wait to see who wins!!
I may do one more for years end...I will see.
I'm finding little time to do much art these days. When I get home from work, I am knackered and barely manage the tub to the couch to the bed run each evening. I am still practicing my harp and did make 3 song videos. Once again, I uploaded them, and tried to post them. Once again, they didn't work. I think it is the file type (mp4 or something like that) that is the problem. I did a wee bit of research and it seems like the BlogSpot blogs like mpeg format... I will have to see if I can figure out how to save them in that file format. I will have to upload them again as I lost all of them when I was trying to figure out how to do this.
Gave first Christmas present yesterday...to my harp teacher. It always puts me in happy mood when I get to give a gift.
